in equation of line
y = mx + b
'm' stand for slope of the line
'b' stand for y-intercept
y-intercept is the point on line where x=0
and slope is tan∅, where ∅ in angle between x-axis and line in anticlockwise
hope it helps you

y=mx+b
by comparing with slope intercept form y=mx+c
we get that
m=slope
b= y-intercept
