Diagram in the attachment

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: in triangle abc ab=ac=5 cm, bc=6 cm

To Find: sin c

Construction: draw ad perpendicular to bc

In right angled triangle adc, angle d = 90°

By Pythagoras Thm.

AD^2 + CD^2 = AC^2

AD^2 + (3)^2 = (5)^2 [ AD is perpendicular to bc, so BD=CD=3C]

AD^2 = 25 - 9

AD^2 = 16

AD = 4

In triangle ADC

Sin C = opp/hyp

= AD/AC

= 4 / 5
