Step-by-step explanation:

Base angle = 5x

Base angles = 2(5x)

Vertical angle = 8x

According to angle sum property;

total interior angles of triangle = 180°

180 = 10x + 8x

180 = 18x

x = 180/18

x = 10

10°

Angles are 80°, 50°, 50°

Given:-

  • In an isosceles triangle the vertical angle and the base are in the ratio 8:5.

To find:-

  • All angles of the triangle.

Solution:-

We know that,

  • Sum of all angles of triangle is 180°.

⇛ 8x + 5x + 5x = 180

⇛ 8x + 10x = 180

⇛ 18x = 180

⇛ x = 180/18

x = 10

Therefore,

  • 8x = 8 × 10 = 80°
  • 5x = 5 × 10 = 50°

Hence,

  • the angles are 80°, 50° and 50°.
