Additional subject is just to enhance ur percentage that's it. In class 10 ur percnetage depends upon ur best 5 subjects that means those subjects in which ur score is best. And if u fail in any of ur main subject then it means u are fail and u have to give comp. Xm for that subject optional is not going to help u for that.
