Heya !!!

Side of square = 14 cm

Area of square = (Side)² = (14)² = 196 cm²

Diameter of circle = Side of square = 14 cm

Radius = D/2 = 14/2 = 7 cm

Area of two semicircles = 2 × (1/2 πR²)

=> 2 × 1/2 × 22/7 × 7 × 7

=> ( 22 × 7 ) cm²

=> 154 cm²

Therefore,

Area of shaded region = Area of square - Area of two semicircles

=> ( 196 - 154 ) cm²

=> 42 cm²

Area of unshaded region = Area of two semicircles = 154 cm².

Hey!!

Side of square = 14 cm

Area of square = ( Side )^2 = ( 14 )^2 = 196 cm^2

Diameterof a circle = Side of square = 14 cm

Radius ( r ) = diameter (d) / 2 = 14 / 2 cm = 7 cm

Area of two semicircles = 2 × ( 1 / 2 π r^2 )

=> 2 × ( 1 / 2 × 22 / 7 × 7 × 7 )

=> ( 22 × 7 ) cm^2

=> 154 cm^2

Area of shaded region = Area of square - Area of two semicircles

=> ( 196 - 154 ) cm^2

=> 42 cm^2
