Given : From figure we have , ∠ADB = 25°,  ∠BAD = 55°, ∠ECB = 40°, ∠CED = x

In ∆ABD,

By angle sum property,

∠BAD + ∠ABD + ∠ADB = 180°

55° + ∠ABD + 25° = 180°

80° + ∠ABD = 180°

∠ABD = 180° - 80°

∠ABD = 100°

In ∆EBC,

∠EBC + ∠ABD = 180° [Linear pair]

∠EBC + 100° = 180°

∠EBC = 180° - 100°

∠EBC  = 80°

∠EBC + ∠ECB + ∠CEB = 180°

[By angle sum property]

80° + 40° + ∠CEB = 180°

120° + ∠CEB = 180°

∠CEB = 180° - 120°

∠CEB = 60°

Now,

∠CEB + ∠CED = 180° [Linear pair]

60° + x = 180°

x = 180° - 60°

x = 120°

Hence the value of x is 120°.

Among the given options option (D) 120° is correct.
