AB² = AD² + BD²  ( Using Pythagoras theorem)

in ΔABE

AB² = AE² + BE²

Equating AB² from both

AD² + BD² = AE² + BE²

AE = BD given

=> AE² = BD²

=> AD² = BE²

=> AD = BE

AD ≅ BE

ΔABD ≅ ΔABE ( as all sides are equal)
