In figure 3.85, ꯳ABCD is a parallelogram. It circumscribes the circle with cnetre T. Point E, F, G, H are touching points. If AE=4.5,EB = 5.5, find AD.

Hi ,


We know that the parallelogram circumscribing a


circle is a Rhombus .


ABCD is a parallelogram circumscribing


a circle with center T .


AE = 4.5 ,

EB = 5.5 ( Given )


Therefore , ABCD is a Rhombus .


AB = BC = CD = DA


AD = AB

= AE + EB


= 4.5 + 5.5


= 10
