AD=6 cm, DB= 9cm

Then AD/DB= 6/9=2/3

AE=8cm, EC=12cm

Then AE/EC=8/12=2/3

AD/DB=AE/EC

∴DE║BC

∠ADE=∠ABC=48 (Corresponding angles are equal)
