Grafting is a process in which a scion and a stock are grown together as a same plant . The scion is stem part and stock is root part . Later , due to tissue combining process , it grows as a same plant . It combines best qualities of both .

Answer:-

The stock and scion Join up due to cambium activity. Stock is the portion on which grafting is done and it provides the roots. Scion is the portion of the plant, which is grafted on to the other plant and it contributes the stem.
