the conversion of the impulse to chemicals signals TAKES PLACE AT SYNAPSE with help of certain chemicals known as neurotransmitters like acetylcholine that are released from synaptic vessicles.

Synapse Is formed genrally at the junction of axon end of one neuron with the dendrite end of another.
