in principle,gravitational force acts between every two particles of matter in this universe. so if we take newton's example of the falling apple,the apple should attract the earth as much as the earth attracts the apple. so why doesn' the earth go up to meet the apple instead of apple falling down on earth?

the gravity force depends upon the mass. of the object .
the mass of Apple is less than earth's mass that's why Apple is attracted towards earth
