Total Number of heads = 15 

Total Number of feet = 50

Let p be the number of parrots  and d the number of dogs

ATGC 

p + d = 15 ---(1) 

p = 15 - d 

2p + 4d = 50 ---(2)

2(15-d) + 4d = 50 

30  - 2d + 4d = 50 

30 + 2d = 50 

2d = 50 - 30 

d = 20/2 

d = 10 

so number of dogs = 10 

And p = 15 - d 

so p 15 - 10 = 5 

number of parrots = 5
