helen lost the sense of hear and see at very early age.she only remembers the important and funny incidents , many of them are blurred .some of the memories are still under shadow .the darkness that surrounds her make her memories blurr and all of them are enclosed in prison

Helen lost the sense of hearing and seeing at very early age when she was about 2 years old due to acute congestion of stomach and brain.She could not remember anything but only the Important and funny incidents, many of them are blurred.She was frustated so much and was unable to adjust with this environment of deaf and blind.
This what she meant saying “shadows of prison house are on the rest”
