Ration shops or the fair price shops are government organised grocery stores which sell mainly different food materials in a lower price than the normal market.

The main reason of the lower usage of ration shops in the west Bengal is the bad quality food products available in the ration shops.

This mainly happens due to highly corrupted infrastructure in the West Bengal.

But on the other hand the Tamil Nadu's infrastructure is lot more corruption free, that's why people living in the Tamilnadu prefers the low priced but good quality food products of the government ration shops.

That's why we can easily say that the people in the Tamilnadu are availing a better facilities through these government ration shops.
