A(Sector 1)=Theta/360×πr^2

=90/360×22/7×14×14

=22/4×2×14

=22×7

=154 sq.cm

Similarly,

A(Sector 2)=A(Sector 3)=A(Sector 4)=154 sq.cm

Therefore, A(Sectors)=A(sec 1)+A(sec 2)+A(sec 3)+A(sec 4)=616 sq.cm

A(■ABCD)= Side^2

=28×28

=784 sq.cm

A(Shaded region)=A(■ABCD)-A(Sectors)

=784-616

=168 sq.cm

Area of the shaded region is 168 sq.cm
