In the alongside figure, AB is parallel to DC, ∠BCE = 80° and ∠BAC = 25°. Find:
(i) ∠CAD,
(ii) ∠CBD,
(iii) ∠ADC

1. We know that exterior angle is equal to the opposite interior angle

Angle BAD= angle BCE

angle BAC+ angle CAD= angle BCE

25° + angle CAD = 80°

angle CAD = 80-25=55°

2. angle BAC= angle CBD = 25° (angles in the same segment)

3. Now, BA||CD and BC is transversal

angle BCE = angle ABC = 80°

Then, angle ADC + angle ABC = 180° (opposite angles of cyclic quadrilateral)

angle ADC + 80° =180°

angle ADC = 100°
