The liver. The smooth endoplasmic reticulum of the cells of the liver
are important for detoxification of many products of metabolic
reactions. The smooth enoplasmic reticulum are able to achieve this,
with the help of an enzyme known as cytochrome P450 which is responsible
for the detoxification process.
