In experiment to determine the period of simple pendulum of length=1m

two spherical bobs uniform mass distribution .relative difference is 5*10^-4 kg  radii difference | r1 -r2 |

time period simple pendulum   T=2π√l/g

l=length of pendulum , g=due to gravity is acceleration thus

T=2π√l/g⇒Ta√l

diff both sides  with respect to t

ΔT/T= (1/2) Δl/l  ,change in length Δl =| r1-r2 |

 relative difference of length is  5*10^-4 so

5*10^-4=1/2(r1-r2)

⇒r1-r2=10*10^-4 m

 r1-r2=10*10-3 m

⇒r1-r2=10*10-1 cm

r1-r2=0.1 cm   answer ...

Answer:

T∝l√l=1

ΔTl=12ΔllΔl=r1−r2

5×10−4=12r1−r21

r1−r2=10×10−4

10−3m=10−1cm−0.1cm
