In the fig. PA and PB are two tangents drawn to a circle of centre O .A chord BC is drawn parallel to tangents PA. If angles p =40 and AB=AC find angles:ABC, BCA and BAC

Hey mate here is your answer...........

In triangle PAB,

PA = PB

<PBA=<PAB-------1

Now, In triangle PBA, we get

<PBA + <PAB + < APB = 180

<PAB + <PAB + 40 = 180(using 1)

2<PAB= 180 - 40

<PAB = 70

Now, BC// PA

<ABC = <PAC(Alternate angles)

<ABC = 70

AB = AC

<BCA = <ABC

<BCA = 70

Now, <BAC + <ABC + <BCA = 180

         <BAC + 70 + 70 = 180

         <BAC = 40
