in the figure Q is the centre of the circle and PM and PN are the tangents to the circle if angle mpn is equal to 40 degree find angle mqn

Given:

angle mpn is equal to 40 degree.

To find:

angle mqn.

Solution:

1) In the given diagram we can clearly see that the MPNO is the quadrilateral.

2) We all know very well that radius of the circle always be perpendicular t the tangent of the circle.

3) So if we apply the angle property of the quadrilateral we get,

  • 40° + 90° + 90° + ∠MQN = 360°
  • ∠MQN = 360° - 220°

∠MQN = 140.
