In the rectangle ABCD, let a be its length and b be its breadth and x be the length of DQ and BP.
So, according to the Pythagorus Theorem :
⇒ AQ² = QD² + AD²
and AP² = AB² + BP²
So, the length of AP + AQ = 2ax + 2bx
Hence the length of (AP + AQ) is 2ax + 2bx answer.
