\large\underline\pink{Diagram:-}

\large\underline\pink{Given:-}

  • ABCD is a trapezium in which AB//BC angle ABC =90 AD=16cm AC=41cm and BC=40cm.

\large\underline\pink{To find:-}

  • Find the area of the trapezium....?

\large\underline\pink{Solutions:-}

ABCD is a trapezium.

<ABC = 90°

from the right ∆ ABC, we have:-

⟹ AB² = (41)² - (40)²

⟹ AB² = 1681 - 1600

⟹ AB² = 81

⟹ AB = √81

⟹ AB = 9cm

Length AB = 9cm

Now,

Area of the trapezium = 1/2 × (AB + BC) × AB

⟹ 1/2 × (16 + 40) × 9

⟹ 1/2 × 56 × 9

⟹ 28 × 9

⟹ 252cm²

Hence, the area of the trapezium is 252cm²
