Given :- in the given figure , if TS parallel QR and TV parallel QS , then prove that PV/VS = PS/SR ?

Solution :-

In ∆PQR, we have given that, TS || QR .

so,

→ PT / TQ = PS/SR { By BPT theorem. } ---------- Eqn.(1)

now, in ∆PQS, given that, TV || QS .

so,

→ PT / TQ = PV/VS { By BPT theorem. } --------- Eqn.(2)

form Eqn.(1) and Eqn.(2) we get,

→ PS/SR = PV/VS

or,

→ PV/VS = PS/SR (Proved) .
