Length of Belt AD & BC are 3 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Diameter = 4 cm & 2 cm

=> radius = 2 cm & 1 cm

=> OA = OC = 2 cm

    OB = OD = 1 cm

∠OAP = ∠OCP = 90°   ( Tangents)

∠APC = 90°  Belts cross cross each other at right angles

=> ∠AOC = 90°  ( as sum og angles of Quadrilateral = 360°)

=> OAPC is a right angle

now OA = OC

OA = CP  & OC = AP  ( opposites sides of rectangle are equal)

=> OA = CP = OC = AP

=> AP = CP = 2 cm

Similarly

BP =DP = 1cm

AD = AP  + DP = 2 + 1 = 3 cm

BC = BP + CP = 1 + 2 = 3 cm

Length of Belt AD & BC are 3 cm
