In the morning a milkman filled 5 ½ liter of milk in his can. He sold to Renu, Lata and Hema ¾ liter each. To Shankar he sold 7/8litre and to Jassi he gave 1 ½ liter. How much milk is left in the can?

Total milk given to all of them= 9/4+ 7/8+ 3/2

                                                = 18/8+ 7/8+ 12/8

                                                = 37/8 l
