in the story a face in the dark where did mr Oliver find the boy? what did he notice about the boy?

Mr.oliver found the boy sitting on a rock who was wipping silently...he noticed that he was one of his school boy who was wearing his school uniform and school cap on his head....

Mr. Oliver found the boy between the pine forest while he was travelling to his home.
When he saw the boy he notice the bod had no mouth,ears,eyes etc so he ran blindly across the forest.
