which rocks are associated with fossil fuels

Fossil fuels are found in sedimentary rocks largely as these rocks form under very low temperature and pressure conditions. As the fossil sediments gets compressed into the rocks, with time and after gradual decay and dissolve of the fossil, it turns into fossil fuels deep inside.
