Answer:
It is absolutely true a calm mind can help you tackle direct stress or any difficult and unwanted situation. Ausable is a secret agent whose physical appearance and joviality deceive everyone. It is hard for a new person to find out he is an accomplished secret agent.
His greatest quality is his calmness and composure. When Max tries to elicit some secret information out of Ausable, the latter handles it calmly; he makes such a clever plan of the ordinary happenings that Max gets trapped in them. He makes Max believe that knocking on the door is by the police; he also makes him believe that the window opens to a safe balcony where Max could hide. As Max tries to go into the balcony, Max falls to the ground as there was no balcony.
I also handled a challenging situation once using my calmness and presence of mind. I was going to my friend’s house last Saturday. The roads were crowded on account of the Christmas festivities. At a roundabout I police cop stopped me to check my vehicles’ documents. Unfortunately, I did not have them. I requested the cop to allow me to show the documents on phone. Quite interestingly he allowed. I called mom and asked her to send me the pics of the vehicle documents. I showed the pics of the documents to the cop and he was satisfied. He let me go.
Presence of mind and calmness go hand in hand. We must carry our composure all the time with us.

Answer:
Ausable was different from other secret agents in more ways than one. He had a small room in the musty corridor of a gloomy French hotel. It was on the sixth and top floor and it was scarcely the setting for a romantic adventure. He was extremely fat. Inspite of living in Paris for over twenty years, he spoke French and German only passably and had an American accent. Instead of getting messages slipped into his hands by dark-eyed beauties, he got only a telephone call making an appointment. In these ways, he was different from the conventional notion of a spy.
