Here's your answer ----->

Rate = 5% per annum
let the principal be x
There fore ,
Amount = 3 × principal
= 3x
There fore ,
Simple Interest ( SI ) = 3x - x

Now , we know that ,
SI = P × R × T / 100 .
So , T ( time ) = 100 × SI / P × R
so T = 100 × 2x / x × 5 yrs ,
= 200x / 5x yrs ,
= 40 yrs . ( ANSWER )
