P = 1200

R = 6%

A = 1344

SI = 1344 - 1200

= 144

now

T = (SI x 100) / PR

= (144 x 100) / ( 1200 x 6)

= 12/6

= 2 years

this is not the accurate method but you get the answer.

1% of 1200 = 12
12% of 1200 = 144

to get ₹1344 you need more ₹144

now if rate of interest is 6% per year
it should be 12 % for two years

so the answer must be 2 years.
