Vegetative reproduction is a kind of asexual reproduction.
Vegetative reproduction uses Mitosis. This means that the newly created cell is a clone, and identical to the parent cell. By this process, new plants can be grown naturally without any seeds or spores.

The reasons for considering the vegetative reproduction as simple are as follows:
- As no gametes are involved, the reproduction process gets completed at faster rate.
- Many numbers of off springs can be produced in less span of time.
- It doesn't demand any specific procedures to produce offspring.
- It produces off springs which are exact carbon copy of parent.
- It doesn't follows pre-fertilization, fertilization, and post-fertilization events.
- Incomplete or detached part of the organism leads to the formation of new offspring.
