Geoge and Jerome believed that camping would be an emancipate and a wild experience. They envisaged the nights as a silent but also filled with a satisfying conversation under the moonlight followed by the song of rustling leaves and lapping water which would hush them to sleep.

Hello!!
Heres ur answer!!
George and the author visualise camping out and describe it very vividly. They very poetically define the camping in the wooded area. The sun fades away from among the clouds. And slowly the birds stop singing. They imagine the ghostly night with its grey shadows to creep out noiselessly engulfing the bright light completely. The night is now illuminated with pale stars and is extremely quiet. Then they begin to imagine rowing the little boat into a tiny corner and setting up the tent and eat a sparing dinner. Then the three men smoke their cigars and sit and chat for quite some time by the side of the river. Around the boat the river prattles about making strange noises.
Under the moon the men sit watching it, the moon throws its rays on the river, clinging to it as the river flows by. Slowly the pipes of the men are burned out, and they too are still, each engrossed in his thoughts, some that are sad and others which are happy. The men cease to talk and laugh and get up to go to sleep listening to the flowing of the water and the rustling of the trees..
