India democracy is a representative democracy.why did India not adopt Direct democracy
Answers
By direct democracy, it is meant that all decisions of the goverances are voted upon and decided by all the citizens of the country. In a country of the size of India, given its big population, and extreme complexity, if such a system were ever adopted, I can say with certainty that nothing would ever be decided. That is why we have a representative democracy. Honestly speaking even in the representative democracy that we follow, the opinions of only a few MPs matter and rest have the satisfaction of giving speeches and advice which government may take note of or ignore.
