India the land of festival means India have many festival because in India there are many religions like Hindu Muslim Sikh and Christians they all have festival so India is a called land of festival such as Holi Diwali Eid Christmas Guru Nanak Jayanti etc.

India is a land of festivals because in India people celebrate various festivals as India is a diverse country it contains people of manny religions so each religion have different festivals.Like for examples in India Gujarati's also live and muslim's also live so both the religion have different festivals gujarati ones have Navratri,chhath,etc and muslim ones have eid-ul-fitr,eid-al-adha,Muharram,etc.

So by this we can understand that although there are only two religion in our example but each have many festivals.

In our example we took only two religion but in our country there are a number of religion so each religion have many festivals so our country as a whole have a number of festivals.

Thus,India is also called a land of festivals.
