India is an international highway of trade and commerce:-
1) India is easily accessible to other parts of Asia, Europe, Africa and America.
2) It acts as a bridge between the developed and the developing countries of the world and the East and the West.
3) It's strength lies in its geography. India is connected with Europe, North America and South America through the Cape of Good Hope and the Suez Canal.
4) India can also reach Canada and the U.S.A thrrough the Strait of Malaca after crossing the Pacific Ocean.

You should talk of the Silk Route which in the olden days used to run all the way from China all the way to Afghanistan. And then of course, trade routes are being opened up through the Nathula Pass in Sikkim so that China can transport goods through Nathula which can then be shipped from the Diamond Harbour. Also road links are being established to connect India with South East Asia - Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, etc.
