India has seen a sharp decrease in the death rates in the last few decades.This has resulted in more infants surviving to adulthood.Such a phenomenon has ensured that the population pyramid is broad in the younger age groupsIndia today has a relatively large number of young people that means a strong and expanding labour force.If this workforce can be turned into a skilled, spirited lot, they can be of immense help for the future of the nation.
