The North Indian Ocean current is influenced by monsoon wind.

But the current circulation in South Indian Ocean is continuous.

This is not like the North Indian Ocean.

South Indian Ocean is not influenced by the change of seasons.

Following are the currents found in the Indian Ocean:

•    The North East Monsoon Drift

•    The South West Monsoon Drift

•    North Equatorial Current

•    South Equatorial Current

•    Somali Current

•    Mozambique Current

•    Madagascar Current

•    Agulhas Current

•    West Australian Current
