During world war 1 , indians helped a lot to the brittishers as they were expecting that after the war their hardship would end. they were thinking that as they are co operating with british to win war then they will also hear our problems and solve them. but that did not happen. more over they increased taxes to meet their war needs, prices of nearly all the commodity doubled up, villagers were forced to join the army , Huge epedemic evolve all over the country. This make the indians angry and withdraw their support in world war 2.
