Overall, Africa doesn't have much developed industries and lack industrial belts like those in India.
Large scale industries are not so we'll developed in Africa. Shortage of resources such as coal or oil, capital investment, skilled labour, and market for selling the finished product are responsible for the lack of industrial development. Few countries like Egypt, Republic of South Africa have developed consumer goods Industries. Tourism is a fast growing industry in Africa. The organization of African Unity or African Union are trying to conserve their environmental riches and growth and development of modern Industries.
