The total surface area of the pipe is 2308.6 cm².

Given data :

Inner and Outer radii of the pipe are = 3 cm and 3.5 cm

Length of the pipe = 56 cm

So,

Inner surface area = 2 × π × 3 × 56 = 1056 cm²

Outer surface area = 2 × π × 3.5 × 56 = 1232 cm²

Top and bottom circular ring area = [2× {(π×3.5×3.5)-(π×3×3)}]

= {2×(38.5-28.2)}

= 2× 10.3

= 20.6 cm²

Total surface area = ( inner surface area + outer surface area + top and bottom circular ring area ) = (1056+1232 + 20.6 ) = 2308.6 cm² (answer)
