Inside a square garden of side 158m, a road 4m wide is built all around. What is the area of the remaining part of the garden?

( Hint: Find the length of the inner square )

here's ur answer...

given the Length of the square garden is 158m.

area of the square garden = side²

= 158×158

= 24964m²

the 4m path is built all around inside the park, therefore length of the path = 158-(4+4)

= 158-8

= 150m

area of the square garden excluding path = side²

= 150×150

= 22500m²

area of the path = 24964-22500

= 2464m²
