instead of subtracting 5 in the lcm why we hav to add 5 in the lcm coz diminshed means very small so we should subtract na? plz tell an accurate ans... irrelevant answers will be reported

In the question it is said that the number got diminished (reduced) and the original number is divisible by 36 and 54. So to obtain the original number we have to add 5 to new number

We add 5 in lcm because we want that least number which gets exactly divided by 36 and 54 when it is diminished by 5.
For ex:- If number x is lcm of 36 and 54 then, it x is able to get divided exactly from 36 and 54 but if we add 5 in number x then it would leave remainder of 5 and
• For that least number which is required to be diminished by 5 we will get that (x+5)
