Ionic solids conduct electricity in molten state because in molten state the ions are free to move while in solid state the crystal lattice is closely packed by a large amount of electrostatic force which does not allow the ions to move , since mobile ions(electron) are cause of electricity conduction therefore ionic solid conducts electricity only in molten state.

Hey !!
In the molten state, ionic solids ionise to give free ions and hence can conduct electricity. However, in the solid state, since the ions are free to move about but remain held together by strong electrostatic force of attraction, they behave as insulator.
Hope it helps you !!
