Normally in a joint family, the role of an elderly person is to make the family atmosphere warm and freindly. What does the grandmother suggest the little girl to have a friendly relationship with her parents? Do you think one-side effort can save any relationship? What in your opinion is more appropriate?

It is quite true the elderly people keep the families intact with the warmth of love and care. They work as linking bonds among the family members. The grandmother in the chapter ‘The Little Girl’ also helped the family members stay linked and connected. On Sunday afternoons, she would often advise Kezia to go to the drawing room to sit with her father and mother and have a nice talk with them.

One side efforts may prove quite helpful in saving relationships as initiative taken by anyone person can really prove strengthening of relationships. If no one will make no efforts the distance and coldness on account of lack of communication will keep on increasing and the misunderstandings will remain unclear.

In conclusion it can be said that though relationship remain warm and beautiful when the people involved in relationship mutually love and care. However, if there is any coldness in a relationship, it can be healed even with the effort of one person.

In today's world, kids are getting separated from their parents due to work and study pressure, but grandparents behave as a bridge between it.

Parents are not always able to give time because of work and at the same time children are busy with studies.

So grandparents can give time since they are at home maximum of time. Grandma's tell fairy tales to their grandchildren, and that creates a visualization of how beautiful the world is.

Even they solve the problem between parents are children with a view that can change everyone's life and no effort works one-sided unless it's for two sides applicable, so grandparents are a bridge that protects our home and decrease the distance of today's generation with their parents.
