Iron is more reactive than copper. write an activity to show this?​

you see that reaction take palce and iron displaced copper from copper sulphate solution.(higher reactive element displace less reactive element) so we can say that iron is more reactive than copper.

Answer:

take an iron nail.

dip it in copper sulphate solution and leave it for 1 hour.

you will notice iron which was grey in colour gets coated with a brownish material and colour of solution changes to greenish blue from blue.

because iron displaces copper from copper sulphate solution and becomes iron sulphate solution. this activity shows that iron is more reactive than copper.

Fe+ CuSo4➡FeSo4 + Cu.
