The general term,tn

$tn = a + (n - 1)d$

where n is the nth term.

tn = a + ( n - 1 ) d

51 = 5 + ( n - 1 ) 3

51 = 5 + 3n - 3

51 = 3n + 2

3n = 51 - 2

3n = 49

n = 49/3 ( fraction )

Since n is a fraction,,,, 51 does not belong to this AP
