Antonio hated shylock because of his business transaction and the high interest he used to take from people on his loan. he was cruel towards them and would show no mercy to them if they fail to pay the amount on right time. Therefore Antonio was right in hating Shylock but he should not have insulted shylock in public as he had done. He had spat upon him and also called him a dog which he should not do. But he was right in hating him.
