A general arrange his soldiers in rows to form a perfect square. He finds that in doing so 60 soldiers are left out. If total no of soldiers be 8341. Find the number of soldiers in each row.​

Firstly,

Total no of soldiers - no. of soldiers remaining

= 8341-60

=8281

Thus, (no.of rows)^2=8281

= No.of rows= √8281

= No.of rows= 91

So the no.of soldiers in each row is 91 as no.of columns and no. of rows are same.
