Explanation:

• The CCE is a unique evaluation pattern that was followed by the CBSE till 2016-2017. The CCE pattern covered different aspects of a student’s development in the school during the academic period.

• It was based on continuity of evaluation through a comprehensive assessment of broad-based learning processes.

• The aim of CCE was to develop other skills among students along with academics and was introduced to reduce the burden on students; however, due to negative feedbacks, CCE will not be re-imposed. The current pattern involves 20% of internal assessment with 80% of annual examination marks.
